FAQ
Q. Does KJRW sell information to third parties?
A. No, we never will sell information to third parties.
Q. Are KJRW products cruelty-free?
A. Yes, we have a strong commitment to make our products cruelty-free. None of our products are made of leather.
Q. What does KJRW do to limit waste?
A. We recycle everything we possibly can in our office (paper, fabric, boxes, etc). We also try to create products that can use recycled materials as a component. We are also currently developing several products that will use recycled materials. We hope to have these products available very soon.
Q. Does KJRW offset energy consumption in some way?
A. Yes, we purchase a form of tradable renewable energy certificates, also known as TRCs or green tags. These TRCs support renewable electricity production nationwide. For every unit of renewable electricity generated, an equivalent amount of renewable certificates is produced.
Q. Aren't flip-flops a wasteful product?
A. Generally, yes. This is partially because thrift stores will not take them when they are used, they are disposable, and most people only wear them for a season. However, we are willing to take your old flip flops and recycle them if you purchase from us. As long as they are not falling apart, we will donate them to a charity that gives them to people affected by national disasters, war, and poverty both in the US and overseas for people to wear when the alternative option is to wear nothing on their feet.
Q. What are the handbags made of?
A. Our handbags and beach bags are made of cotton fabric. Occasionally, we use a cotton/poly blend. We are phasing out all handles that are not bamboo or cloth. The handles are held on with small pieces of metal that can be recycled. The rest of the bag is biodegradable. Although, we recommend carrying the bags rather than throwing them on a compost pile. :)
Q. Are your products made in Hawaii?
A. Our handbags, beach bags, jewelry, and accessories are designed/made in Hawaii. Our flip-flops are made outside of Hawaii.
Q. Do you sell things from other designers?

Q. Do you support the local economy in Hawaii?
